Last year we ran the first ever Rider Awards – have a look what went on here. This year we continued the celebration with the second annual awards ceremony.
Riders were nominated in the following categories, with the winners brought to Deliveroo HQ for a day of prizes, workshops, and lunch with Will – our founder and CEO.
This year, we celebrated riders from Aberdeen to Bristol, Dublin to Bournemouth. We welcomed riders like Oliver, who’s used his first aid training to save lives when he’s come across members of the public in need. We also celebrated riders like Jake, who cycled from Nairobi to Durban, raising money for Place2Be – a great charity providing mental health support and resources for young people and schools.
Roger joined us to tell us more about how he balances riding alongside his ethical clothing start-up, New Void Order. And Steve told us about the initiatives he’s helped set up in Yorkshire to encourage cycling in his community.
Thanks to all the riders who came on the day. And thanks to the riders doing great things every day. We think you’re great, and we can’t wait until next year!
