Make extra money by referring friends

Know someone who’d make a great Deliveroo rider?

Invite a new rider to ride with us and you could both earn some extra cash when they complete their first 10 deliveries.

Rider referrals are a simple way to earn a little extra while helping us get more riders on the road.

How Rider Referrals work

  1. Share your referral code: Find your unique referral code in the Rider app and share it with your friend. 
  2. Your friend applies: They apply to become a Deliveroo rider using your referral code
  3. They complete deliveries: Once they’ve completed their application and they’re ready to ride, your friend needs to complete 10 deliveries in the eligible area within 30 days of account set up.
  4. You both get paid: Once all the referral conditions are met, you and your friend will both receive a cash reward.

Referral rewards and eligibility

Referral campaigns run in selected areas and are subject to specific conditions, which include:

  • The area your friend applies and delivers in
  • The type of vehicle they use
  • The number of deliveries they complete

Only riders who have not work for Deliveroo before are eligible.

Referral rewards and eligibility criteria may change over time.

If you make a referral outside of an eligible area, or the person you have referred does not make the required number of deliveries, then you won’t qualify for a reward.

Our current referral rewards

When are referral rewards paid?

Rewards are paid after all the conditions of the referral are met. This means your friend:

  • Applied using your referral code
  • Onboarded successfully
  • Completed 10 deliveries in the eligible area within 30 days 
  • Once confirmed, the reward will be added to your payments.

Important things to know

  • Referrals are only available to main account holders, not substitutes
  • Referred riders must be new to Deliveroo and must not have previously held an account or delivered as a substitute
  • Referral codes must be used during application - they can’t be used later
  • You can refer as many people as you like, but you can only be paid for a maximum of 20 referrals per campaign
  • Referral campaigns may start or stop in different areas at different times
  • To receive a referral reward, you must be an active Deliveroo rider

How to find your referral link

  • Open the Rider app
  • Go to ‘Referrals’
  • Copy or share your unique referral code
  • The person you refer will need to insert this code when they apply

  • How do I refer a friend?

    First, check if we're running any referral rewards in your area. You can find a list of them here.

    If there is a reward running in your area share your referral code with your friend, and make sure they use it on their initial application.

    Where can I find my referral code?

    If your zone has an active referral reward you can find your referral code in the ‘Referrals’ section in the rider app. If your app doesn't have a Referral section your zone doesn't currently have a referral reward.

    Only one referral code can be used by each applicant. If your friend applies to ride with Deliveroo more than once, using more than one rider’s referral code, only the referral code on the accepted application will be used.

    If your referral code isn’t the one on their accepted application, you may still see it listed in the 'Referrals' section of your rider app, but you won’t be eligible for referral fees.

  • How many friends can I refer?

    You can refer as many people as you like, but you can only be paid for a maximum of 20 referrals per campaign.

  • When will I receive my referral payment?

    It can take up to 2 weeks to receive the payment following the completion of the referred rider’s 10th order.

Terms and conditions

Referral campaigns are subject to Deliveroo’s rider referral terms and conditions, which can be found here. Please note that the Terms and Conditions may vary by market and campaign.

‘Referrer’ is a current Deliveroo rider with an active main account.

‘Applicant’ is a person applying to become a Deliveroo rider using a valid referral code.

Referrers may be eligible for a referral payment for each new Applicant who:

  • Uses their referral code when applying
  • Is new to Deliveroo and has never previously held a rider account or delivered as a substitute
  • Successfully onboards and completes 10 deliveries within 30 days, of onboarding (with the latest date for completing the deliveries being 60 days of making their rider application),in the eligible area

The amount to be paid will depend on the city the Applicant onboards and delivers in and the vehicle the Applicant uses.

The amount payable is the amount that was advertised by Deliveroo at the time the application was received by Deliveroo from the Applicant.

Current referral payments are listed on this page – these are subject to change at any time.

The Applicant must enter a valid referral code on their application form to be eligible for payment.

The Referrer can refer as many Applicants as they like, but each Referral will only be paid for a maximum of 20 Applicants per campaign referral window (referral windows are open for 2 weeks).

Referral codes cannot be added, changed, or applied retroactively after an application is submitted.

Use of Deliveroo’s logo, branding, website or other intellectual property is not permitted in relation to this referral scheme or otherwise.

Referral payments will not be made if:

  • The Applicant does not complete the required number of deliveries within the timeframe
  • The referral is made outside an eligible area or vehicle type
  • Either the Referrer or the Applicant is no longer active (has delivered at least one order in the past 21 days) at the time the reward is due
  • Deliveroo reasonably believes the referral scheme is being abused

Deliveroo reserves the right to:

  • Change or end referral campaigns at any time
  • Change referral reward values without notice
  • Withhold or recover referral rewards issued in error
